The Post Release of SOC DAY UKRAINE 2024 Conference
On 10 October 2024, Unit.City hosted a large-scale cybersecurity event – SOC Day Ukraine 2024, organised by the EMA Association. iIT Distribution co-organised the event and presented innovative solutions from CrowdStrike, Labyrinth, and SOCRadar.
The event brought together specialists and companies from various sectors to discuss the most pressing issues of optimising the operation of Security Operations Centres (SOCs) and choosing modern solutions for infrastructure protection.
Speakers and participants actively shared their experience, challenges and new approaches to help ensure cybersecurity at a high level. The speakers from leading organisations such as NKCK, KMDA, Raiffeisen Bankand others, introduced presentations about SOC issues, cyber resilience of municipal services, automation of security systems, threat intelligence and implementation of modern solutions to protect digital infrastructures.
How to optimise and automate your SOC with CrowdStrike
Oleksiy Markuts, CrowdStrike Brand Manager at iIT Distribution, spoke about SOC automation with CrowdStrike solutions. The CrowdStrike Falcon platform is the only SOC platform that combines NGSIEM, EDR, ITP, Threat Intelligence and more. And CrowdStrike is an innovator in cybersecurity and is recognised as one of the best platforms for protecting organisations from cyber threats. The attendees also learned about tools for automating routine tasks with Falcon Fusion and the role of Charlotte AI in detecting and responding to threats.

Advanced threat intelligence and effective use of information for proactive defence
Sergiy Kulyk, Head of the Ukrainian office at iIT Distribution, and Oleg Poligenko, Deputy CEO of Nova Digital, touched upon an important topic – protection against threats by monitoring confidential information leaks in underground chat rooms, including dark net. In their joint presentation, the speakers shared real-life cases with real consequences and talked about modern tools for monitoring threats. Sergiy explained how to monitor fused data from SOCRadar’s XTI, and Oleg, in turn, shared insights on how to build and optimise SOCs with the help of Threat intelligence.

Implementation of the Labyrinth Deception Platform: real cases of solving cybersecurity challenges
A special mention should be made of the performance of Anastasia Dorosh, Cybersecurity implementation team lead в Labyrinth. She presented real-life cases of using the Labyrinth Deception platform, which helps to detect active attacks and hidden problems in system configurations, changing the dynamics of protection to proactive ones. Her presentation aroused considerable interest, as decoy-based solutions have become one of the most effective tools for detecting complex threats.

Panel discussion
The eventful day ended with a panel discussion on the role of public-private partnerships in the development of the SOC ecosystem in Ukraine, moderated by Viktor Zhora. Our representative, Sergiy Kulyk, together with other industry experts, discussed an important topic – the role of cooperation between the state and private companies in creating an effective cybersecurity system in Ukraine. Sergiy shared iIT Distribution’s experience in this area and emphasised how critical close cooperation is to combat the increasingly complex cyber threats.
Conference SOC DAY UKRAINE 2024 was a significant event for all participants and confirmed its important role in raising awareness, developing partnerships connections and discuss new challenges and solutions in the industry cyber security. We are grateful to the organisers, speakers and everyone who participated for creating an atmosphere of open dialogue and knowledge sharing that helps ensure reliable data and system protection in the face of modern threats.
