Threema Broadcast

Threema Broadcast is a web interface that allows you to conveniently top-down communicate through Threema. Use Threema Broadcast to communicate with employees, customers and third parties. Besides classic mailing lists and central groups where you add and manage recipients yourself, Threema Broadcast also offers channels and bots. Channels are dynamic newsletters; users can subscribe and unsubscribe at any time. Bots allow you to conveniently receive information through Threema.

Fast Information Distribution

Threema Broadcast is your tool for fast, secure, and targeted one-to-many communication. With the click of a button, you send text/image messages, files, and polls to your entire workforce or to specific departments.

Examples:

  • EDEKA uses Threema Broadcast for communication with retailers. The respective distribution list is automatically maintained using Threema Broadcast’s API.
  • During the coronavirus pandemic, Daimler’s CEOhas used Threema Broadcast as primary means to keep in touch with the staff.

Messenger Newsletters

Threema Broadcast’s feeds bring the popular concept of newsletters to instant messaging. You provide separate feeds for different topics, and your employees (or external parties) subscribe to the feeds that fancy their interest. This way, everyone gets exactly the information they’re looking for.

Security and Privacy by Design

Threema Work was designed from scratch with focus on security and data protection. In contrast to many other business messengers, all types of communication are end-to-end encrypted in Threema Work. It’s not required to provide personal information, such as a phone number or email address, to use Threema Work.

Full Legal Compliance

Threema Work is fully GDPR-compliant. As a Swiss company, Threema is also subject to the strict Swiss Federal Data Protection Act (DSG) and the accompanying regulation to the Federal Data Protection Act (VDSG).
Threema uses its own servers in the highly secure data center of its colocation partner, certified to ISO 27001, in Zurich.

Separate Personal and Professional Communication

With Threema Work, personal and professional communication is strictly separated. Since internal contacts are labeled with a distinct verification level, it is recognizable at a glance whether a contact is part of the organization or not. If desired, communication can also be restricted to internal contacts. This way, no communication with contacts outside of the organization is possible.
