As a Swiss company, Threema is also subject to Switzerland’s strict Federal Act on Data Protection (DSG) and the accompanying Ordinance to the Federal Act on Data Protection (VDSG). Threema uses its own servers in a highly secure data center of a co-location partner, certified according to the “ISO 27001” standard, in Zurich.

Separate personal and professional communication

In Threema Work, personal and professional communication is strictly separated. Since internal contacts have a separate verification level, it is apparent at first glance whether a contact is part of the organization or not. If desired, communication can also be restricted to internal contacts only. Thus, communication with contacts outside the organization is impossible.
